Bubbly beauty Hansika Motwani is all set for her second innings in Tollywood. After taking a long break, she is returning with Luckunnodu which has Vishnu Manchu, her close friend, as the lead. As the film is having its audio launch today in Hyderabad at a private convention centre, Hansika chose to skip the event. It's learnt that Hansika who is in Mumbai was supposed to take morning flight to Hyderabad but couldn't make it to the audio launch due to sickness. When contacted, sources in the know defended saying Hansika is suffering from high fever, cold and hence couldn't come though she wanted to.  It's not new for heroines to skip audio launches. Especially the trend is rage among heroines who are not from Telugu. While Ileana, Nayanthara are known for throwing such star tantrums, now Hansika seem to following the suit. But when she disappeared from Telugu for long and making comeback, obviously it's not time to throw tantrums. It's her loss anyways....

A PIL was filed in Madras High Court seeking probe into the death of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. While hearing the petition, HC questioned the petitioners under what capacity they sought an enquiry.  High Court asked, 'Why the petitioners are suspecting conspiracy when none of the blood relatives have moved the court seeking probe?'. Petrol Pump Owners threatened to accept debit/credit card payments on Sunday after banks imposed 1 percent transaction fee. Immediately, Centre intervened to ensure that banks postpone the implementation of transaction fee by few days. Following which, Banks have announced that the decision has been postponed. Finally, All India Petroleum Dealers Association issued a statement delaying the agitation till January 13th, 2017 after the intervention of Petroleum Ministry. The issue began as HDFC and Axis Banks had sought 1 percent Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on each transaction. All India Petroleum Dealers Association President Ajay Bansal told they can't accept the proposal as their margins aren't big enough. He further adds, The existing mechanism doesn't give any scope for Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on transactions. Dealers will incur loses if this rule is implemented.   

Income Tax Department which focussed on bank deposits post the launch of demonetisation took an unexpected turn. IT Sleuths have been now monitoring the deposits since April last year. Reportedly, IT Department directed Banks and Post Offices to submit details regarding deposits between April 1st and November 9th, 2016. Even Banks were asked to direct the account holders who didn't furnish PAN or Form 60 (a deceleration form filed by an individual who doesn't have PAN) at the time of opening bank account to do it by February 28th. Banks were directed to document PAN or Form 60 submitted by the account holders under Rule 114B of I-T Act. Already, IT Department asked Banks and Post Offices to bring to its notice deposits above Rs 2.5 lakh in Savings and Rs 12.5 lakh in Current accounts.

The ploy of Union Government to unearth at least Rs 3 lakh crore of Black Money using Demonetisation between November 10th and December 30th last year backfired. Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj alleges Andhra Officials in Tirumala have been ill-treating the Kannada People. He accused TTD Officials of treating Kannadigas as second-grade citizens. Speaking at the Bengaluru press club, Vatal Nagaraj claims he neither against Andhra Pradesh nor TTD. He, however, expressed his displeasure over the kind of treatment received by Kannadigas visiting Tirumala. Vatal Nagaraj declared that National Highway near Mulabhagilu on January 16th if IAS Officials in TTD doesn't change their attitude. 'Plenty of ornaments have been offered to TTD by Musuru Maharajas. Even they have 7.5 acres of land in Tirumala. A conspiracy is being chalked to seize it. We won't tolerate if Kannadigas were insulted on Tirumala. All the Kannada Associations will take part in the protest,' he told.    It's high time AP Government intervenes and resolve the issue. Or else, It could become an inter-state battle.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is mulling to change the existing ATMs in the country to offer better service to the citizens. It is now studying the latest technology that's been used in developed nations. Actually, Debit Card & Four Digit PIN is a must to withdraw cash from ATMs. A new technology facilitates withdrawals of cash from ATMs by just using the smartphone. Already, America, China, Australia, Singapore and few European Countries have been implementing it. RBI wishes to recalibrate the ATMs in such a manner to dispense cash with mobile within the next 7-8 months. People need to download the App of their respective banks to use this facility and enter the ATM cards details once. To withdraw cash, They just need to open the App, enter the amount they wish to receive, take the mobile close to the ATM so that the QR Code could be tracked to complete the transaction.

Supreme Court has sacked BCCI President Anurag Thakur for allegedly not implementing Justice Lodha Committee reforms. A committee has been appointed to replace Mr. Thakur as the BCCI Chief. Speculations were abuzz since then that Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Sourav Ganguly is the front runner to be the next BCCI President. However, The Former Indian Skipper condemned the speculations Ganguly made it clear he doesn't qualify for the post of BCCI Chief citing he just completed one year as CAB President. An earthquake of 5.7 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted the northeast region of the country on Tuesday afternoon. National Centre for Seismology told, The epicenter of the moderate quake which took place at 2.39 PM was in Ambassa area (59 km away from Agartala) of Dhalai district, Tripura. It is at a depth of 28 kilometers. There is a panic situation soon after the each began shaking. People ran from their houses and offices to save their lives. 50-Year-Old Woman died due to heart stroke at her residence. Four others have suffered injuries. Nearly 50 Houses got partially damaged due to the quake. Landslides happened in many locations.   People in Assam and Meghalaya too experienced the quake. Fortunately, There is not vast damage.

The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA) Today recommended holding the Budget Session of Parliament in advance. While the Budget Session begins on January 31st, Union Budget would be presented on February 1st. President's Address will happen on January 31st. Soon after his return to Lucknow from New Delhi, Mulayam Singh had a phone conversation with his Akhilesh Yadav to workout a compromise. "Will Pawan Kalyan attend the function ?".  Every time it's a million dollar question.  Discussions will go on in the Tollywood media and social media for days together. Same thing is happening now with Khaidi pre-release function which is going to be conducted in Hai Land in Guntur. Who can answer this question ? Producer Ram Charan is seriously trying to project that entire Mega family is behind Chiranjeevi.  When he is trying to do that Pawan's presence will make a huge difference.  Charan knows this clearly and he tweeted yesterday that "I'am meeting Pawan Kalayan babai today evening and will invite him for Khaidi No.150 pre-release function, then its his decision".  With a single tweet he tried to clear the air on two issues. One is Charan is inviting his uncle Pawan. So no one can say that Pawan is not invited.  Second thing is that he left the decision...

After Google has released their list of Most Searched celebrities for the year 2016, now it's the turn of Twitter to do a similar honour.  Mentioning those celebrities who are talked about most, both through mentioning and hashtags, Twitter compiled a list. Sexy lady Priyanka Chopra emerged as the most talked about female star in 2016 on Twitter with 23% share among the Top 10 list, while Alia Bhatt stood second at 18% share. Among men, Shah Rukh topped the male celebrity of the year list with 36% share of the conversations, while 18% share getter Salman Khan stood second. 

Recently Telangana IT Minister started posting his pictures wearing handloom shirts and asked/challenged celebrities to do the same, to kick start #wearhandloom initiative.  Other day he has tweeted, "Me in Handlooms in support of weavers. What about you? @iamnagarjuna @RanaDaggubati @LakshmiManchu @Pvsindhu1 @Samanthaprabhu2 #WearHandloom". Surprisingly Universal hero Kamal Haasan responded to this.  "I also support handloom weavers. Have grown seeing my father wear nothing but handloom clothes, through his life", Kamal tweeted to KTR, and our minister retweeted it. 

From some time, producer Dil Raju is trying to impress people with his good looks. This 50+ producer is not deliberately doing it but his styling is creating such an impression.  Latest update is that he's seen in a short role cameo in the movie Satamanam Bhavathi that is produced by him. He's seen as a palanquin bearer in the film alongside Sharwanand in a blink and miss shot in the trailer of "Satamanam Bhavathi". Whether Dil Raju has done a prominent role in the movie, or just appeared in that one shot is something we have to see.  Meanwhile Satamanam Bhavathi is gearing up for January 14th release. Sharwanand and Anupama Parameswaran are the leads in the film. 

Apparently heroine Trisha has gently risen from her dull phase and started picking up some interesting projects. After starring in horror films like Mohini, she joined political thrillers now real-life based films.  In an upcoming Telugu and Tamil bilingual titled "18:18", Trisha will be playing the role of a receptionist in a five star hotel. Story of the film is set in the backdrop of 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. It will showcase how Trisha saved her own life and also others, and the fear that went through from evening 6 pm to morning 6 am.  Hope one of these films will also give a hit to Trisha!!

Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday visited Uddanam area in Srikakulam district to meet the people suffering from Kidney-related ailments.
