To promote her latest movie “Gabbar Is Back”, Sexy Shruti Haasan is leaving no stone unturned. This official remake of 2002 Tamil hit “Ramana” (Tagore in Telugu) has Akshay Kumar as a hero while Telugu director Krish handled the mantle.  Using the flick as a base to strengthen her presence in Bollywood, Shruti is using all means to grab craze. He, however, failed to pay the debt inspite of giving many opportunities.  Indian Overseas Bank filed a petition in The Debt Recovery Tribunal. Now, The Bank has attached Aascar Ravichandran's properties which include his office, house and the Vellore Aascar theater. Food Corporation of India (FCI) has recently procured 1 lakh tonnes of rice from Andhra Pradesh to serve the requirements in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. This development didn't go down well with Rice Millers Association of Telangana. It made it clear Telangana has got adequate stocks and it needn't buy rice from AP or other States. As per statistics, Telangana used to be deficit in rice production to the tune of 4 lakh tonnes in the past. Things weren't same now as the state is surplus by 4 lakh tonnes and the existing godowns weren't sufficient to stock the rice produced currently.  Even Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender expressed the same views and assured that State Government willn't  allow rice from other states for consumption by people of Telangana. He promised to enhance custom milling charges by Rs 100, increase the power limit of 100 HP to 150 HP for rice mills, exemption of market cess and reduction of VAT to 1 percent from 5.

In a shocking incident, A 35-Year-Old Woman and her 13-Year-Old had jumped from a speeding bus to avoid sexual assault in Moga district of Punjab. Nepal Government has order for an internal enquiry on the issue to verify the facts. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced his ambitious project 'Bharat Mala' which is on the lines of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's 'Golden Quadrilateral'.  'Bharat Mala' is a road built along India's land boarder from Gujarat to Mizoram connecting to the road network in coastal states from Maharashtra to Bengal. As its like garlanding the Indian territory, Such a name was chosen for it.   The project which is going to be launched by the end of 2015 will be completed within the next 5 years and Rs 14,000 crore has been allotted for it. Building roads along the west-to-east land borders covers a distance of 5,300 km. The project starts from Gujarat & Rajasthan, then covers Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur and Mizoram. Bharat Mala is an attempt to strengthen road connectivity in border areas.

This weekend, Telugu film lovers are going to watch two films in theatres as the third one, Lakshmi Manchu dropped from the race. We will be watching Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain and Lawrence’s Ganga. Both these films have unique qualities to compare.  In a way, we have to say that both the films are fantasy oriented, with one banking on stories of two generations while other is about a ghost. A highlight is that Uttama Villain’s runtime is 171 minutes and Ganga is no less, as it has 168 minutes length. Both these movies are nearly lasting for 3 hours, 10 minutes less, and that’s going to be tough on audiences. At a time when slick flicks are finding their way into Tollywood, surely this is a tough batting against Telugu cinema admirers. We have to see how audiences will receive them this Friday, i.e. May 1st, 2015.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his Family Members including Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Lokesh and Brahmani moved to a rented house at Road No. 24 Jubilee Hills on Saturday morning. Apparently, Chandrababu Naidu's house in Jubilee Hills Road No. 65 will be demolished and a new building will be constructed in the same place within one-and-a-half year. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is keen on implementing Free Service at all the Head Tonsuring points in the Hill Shrine from May 1st. In Tirumala, Head Tonsuring is being done in 3 Places (Kalyana Katta, 2 Guest Houses) since 1985. The count has gone up to 15 now to cope up with the heavy rush. Vankadarath Saritha, a native of Telangana, has created history by becoming the first woman to hit the roads of New Delhi as a DTC driver. The 30-Year-Old used to drive Autorickshaws and BMWs earlier. She has undergone a training for a period of 28 days to become a DTC driver and got posted to Sarojini Nagar depot. She was given a day-time duty and will be covering the route in the central part of Delhi. Couple of months ago, Delhi Government has given New Paper Advertisement inviting women who were willing to turn drivers. Out of 7 Applicants, Only Saritha was found medically fit and she was sent to DTC Training School. Delhi Government believes Vankadarath Saritha's appointment will inspire other women to choose driving as a career option.

A fast track court on Friday directed Sun TV to pay Rs 10,00,500 to actress Sukanya for airing an interview of slain smuggler Veerappan. In the interview telecasted by Sun TV on April 17th in the year 1996, Veerappan made some derogatory remarks against Sukanya. Soon, The actress moved Madras High Court demanding compensation worth 10,00,500 from Sun TV, Editor of Nakkeeran Mr. Nakkeeran Gopal and Veerappan. The case has been transferred to Fast Track Court later. Today, Judge P Chandrasekaran directed Sun TV to the compensation amount and also acquitted Nakkeeran Gopal. Actually, Tamil bi-weekly 'Nakkeeran' obtained Veerappan's interview but it was handed over to Sun TV later as part of the agreement between them. Cops of YSR Kadapa district found a dead body in parked car. They identified the deceased as Sathish Kumar Reddy, a resident of Pulivendula town of YSR Cuddapah District As per the reports he  was found dead in a Indica car holding the registration number KA 37 M 4758. The car was identified  in Chinna Chowk Street of Cuddapah town. Investigators say the body may have been there for more than a day.There was no immediate evidence of foul play and police are investigating the matter. The police were reported by the local-ites of a car that has been parked road side unattended to since Friday morning.Meanwhile the relatives of the dead Sathish kumar reddy alleged  that  the aides of local TDP leader kidnapped Sathish Reddy after he fails to clear debts. They claim that he would have first been kidnapped three days ago, then murdered and put into the car.
